Other things...

Life is going pretty good other than my Mamaw's sudden illness. School is moving right along. I just finished up Fall semester last Wednesday and I am still waiting on my grades to be posted. That is enough to drive a person crazy. I know all my grades except one and am dying to see how I did. I start a winter session class on Monday so I only get a 4 day break. But I am still on the road to being done in May!!! I am so sick and tired of school its not even funny. I would enjoy it more if it didn't mean I had to be away from my family alot. The girls are doing fine. Katherine is growing like a weed and learns new things everyday. She can repeat almost everything we say. She is such a precious girl. Cameron is doing really well in school this year. She has such a great 4th grade teacher that really communicates with both Jay and I so that is helpful with that whole situation. Now that Cami is with us half the time life is much better. She is doing much better because of it too. Jay is doing so good at work and just had his annual review. He got really good comments, and even a good raise. The company he works for, Cummings, has been such a blessing for us. He has the greatest boss and really enjoys his job now. Which I think is the first time ever for him. My job is still serving its purpose. I am lucky to adore my co-workers because if I didn't I would be going insane. I definately need something a bit more challenging. That is coming soon enough once I start teaching. I am excited to start my new career and thing I will love it. It is nerve racking to think that I have to keep the attention of a bunch of teenagers as if that is even possible. So hopefully things will keep moving right along.

Sad news...

Im sitting at the hospital in San Angelo, Texas. My Mamaw had a stroke and we came down for the weekend to be with her. It is really hard to see her like this. She has a long road ahead of her and I'm not sure if things will ever be the same.

Happy Halloween!!!

Cameron always wants to match with her sister so I thought these costumes were really cute! Jay said not to go overboard...yeah right!

WOOOHOOO!!!

7 MONTHS UNTIL GRADUATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disaster!

I kinda slacked off on writing on this but I plan to get better! Well last night we had a disaster! Katherine started screaming her head off during the night and when I went to check on her all I could see was her feet kicking in the air. She had fallen in between her bed and the wall head first! Im so glad that I heard her muffled cries because that could have been really bad. It really freaked me out, so much that I just brought her to bed with us and put up with her flippin and floppin all night long. I have gray hair now for sure.

Ouch!

Jay has been hounding me to buy new mattresses but I have been putting it off until we can afford to buy Katherine's bedroom furniture first. SO as an interim we got a memory foam mattress topper. It was supossed to get here today but didnt so hopefully we will get it tomorrow and then both of us will stop hobbling around like 90 year olds. It is pathetic when you are more tired and sore after a full nights rest. My neck has literally had a crick(sp?) in it for months now. I cant wait to sleep comfortably!!!!
My 15 month old doesnt even want to sleep with mommy and daddy because her crib is more comfortable than our bed. It is so time for a change!

Sickies!

The last week or so has been pretty tough. First Katherine caught a stomach bug at the babysitters house and then gave it to the entire family. Then I caught a cold and gave it to Katherine. She is still getting over it. But today was her first day of feeling better. Hopefully we will be healthly for awhile now.

We did it!

Jay and I have been visiting a new church called Church on Rush Creek. Along with my mom, dad, Robyn, Clif, and Connor. We really like it. It has a wonderful children's program as well as youth program. So on Wednesday evening we went to a new members class and placed membership. We have found our home, the place to raise our daughters. Im so excited. We really want to grow spiritually and think that we will be able to do that at this church. I havent been so committed in a long time. Next step is to join a hometeam which I admit is a little scary. But it is something we need, a group of people to lean on when needed.

Labor Day weekend

Well the long weekend is over. Boo hoo. We had a great time though. Manda and Raymond moved into their new house this weekend so Jay, the girls, and I spent a lot of time over there. The people left their swing set so the girls played on that alot. One of the swings is really low to the ground and Kate can actually swing on it. Cameron put her in it and she leaned back and fell straight to the ground. So the next time she was sure to hold on. It was too cute. On sunday after church we went out to Jenny's to cook out and hang out with Jay's family. Cameron loves hanging out with Shane. They went swimming and played. We roasted marshmellows around the fire and sang some church songs too. It was really nice. Monday we all tried to sleep in but Kate was quick to change that plan. So we went to the mall and took a pair of skechers back that we had bought Cameron. We took her to Journeyz Kids and let her pick out a pair of shoes. She picked out a pair of DC skateboard shoes. Apparently this is the popular thing these days. She was so excited to get them. They are actually really cute, hotpink and brown. I would have liked them myself at that age.
After that we just hung out at home. Jay and Camie watched Fantastic Four while Katherine and I took a nap. It was so nice to get a nap for once. So now its back to work and school and I am none to happy about it.

The Blonde Beagle is healthy!

Well Toddy got a clean bill of health yesterday! We took him to see Dr. Walker and everything checked out fine. Jay and I got in trouble a little bit because we were about 2 months late for the appointment(oops) and we let Todds medicine run out for longer than that. Who else in the world has a dog with thyroid issues??? He has to be on medicine twice a day for the REST OF HIS LIFE! Who has time for this? Not me. Anyway we are back on track and going to try and be much better furbaby parents from here on out. After we got home from the vet I went to the store and I returned to a beagle illegally running around my house. Jay and Kate gave Toddy a bath and were letting him relax in the cool house. Katherine loved it so much. Jay said that she was watching Sesame Street and Todd laid down beside her and she was using him as a pillow. On the down side she poked him in the eye(and he just stood there and allowed it) so now he has a puffy thing in his eye that I have to watch and make sure it doesn't get infected or anything. He is such a good dog though. He just calmly follows you around the house and makes sure to watch what everyone is doing. I have missed my Toddy.

School stared this week!

Wow the time gets away from me and I forget to write on this thing! School started for both Cameron and I yesterday. Boo! Jay, Katherine, and I dropped Cameron off at school for her first day in the 4th grade! We went to eat breakfast first at sonic and then off to school. Katherine and Jay cried when we got out. I held it together for the most part. I just cant believe that it is her last year in elementary school. She was pretty excited to see all of her friends and wear her new school clothes. She is also the oldest in school this year so that has its benefits too. Jay was pretty sad because it really hit him that his baby is growing up. It makes me sad too, but I am also excited because she is getting more and more fun to hang out with and joke with. She is really funny. And she appreciates my sense of humor so that is a great thing because we like to joke together ALOT! Im sure we drive Jay crazy most of the time. Us girls have got to stick together. LOL!

Grandpa Dallas came for a visit this weekend too. The kids were really happy to see him. We went to eat at No Frill's with everyone. Katherine was showing off as usual. She is so funny when the attention is all on her. She really loves her cousins Clifey and Connor. She flirts with them both but especially Connor. She might have her first little crush. And Im pretty sure that the feelings go both ways. I love all my kids!

I got to pick Clifey up from his first day of 10th grade. Yeah he was less than thrilled to be back in school. I remember those days. Im still living those days actually.

Um...when did my baby girl become a big girl???? She doesnt even look like a baby anymore. *sigh* She has a little bit of attitude that we are trying to get under control as quick as possible. Yeah right! She has 8 teeth now all in the front and is working on some in the back. I know it hurts her. She has been drooling all over EVERYTHING! Yuck!

I have to tattle tell on Jay for a minute. He was very close to getting the boot yesterday. He decided to give our toddler a sonic smoothie that her sister had not finished. Ok not a problem, EXCEPT, that he gave it to her in the car when I was leaving and then he left for work. So here I am driving along to the babysitters house and Kate is pouring icecream all over herself and the backseat. Oh I has steaming when I went to get her out! Luckily I had extra clothes for her and the carseat cover washed pretty easily. Sometimes I wonder about my husband and what is going on in that brain of his. All is good now though.

So I guess now the summer is officially over and we are back into the routine of the school year. I actually prefer the routine. :-)

Spanish 4 is done!!!

I took my final exam last night. Not sure how I did but I know I passed the class so that is all I really care about at this point. Going to school every night during the week is getting old. And I just had to register for fall semester. I will be taking a full load and going monday-thursday nights. I just want to get done and only taking 2 classes would delay my graduation. So gotta suck it up. Hopefully I will actually graduate sometime in 2008, which means only 2-3 more semesters of this and then I get to start a real job. Yea!!!!

Life is moving right along.

The week is going great so far. Tonight we are going to No Frill's to celebrate the boy's birthdays. I cant believe that Clif is going to be 16 tomorrow and Connor is 14 today. It just goes by so fast! Clifey has been practicing his driving with Jay. Jay says that he is doing pretty good. Jay is a great uncle to those boys. I am proud of him. He loves them both very much.
Friday we pick up Cameron and will have her for 10 days straight. Her mother didnt want to pay for daycare so Jay gets her an extra week. We will have to pay but it is worth it to have her at our house. She is going to go to Betty's, Vonda's, Jenny's, and ASI next week. She wont get bored going to a new place everyday. She really loves ASI gymnastics.
Im taking Spanish 4 in summer school right now and it ends next wednesday. Thank God. I skipped spanish 3 because of scheduling problems and went straight to spanish 4. I am so lost. Luckily I have a great teacher. I have to go back and take spanish 3 later. I am close to graduating(3 more semesters max). It cannot come quick enough. I cant wait to start teaching. Hopefully I will get a job easily.

Jay is doing so many things in life right now. He is a great hubby and awesome daddy. I am so lucky to have him. During my pregnancy and after he gained a lot of weight. We were pretty much eating whatever, whenever there for awhile. A couple of weeks ago he said that he had enough and was tired of being uncomfortable and overweight. So he has been working out everyday and eating right. He is really commited and has already lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks. I can really tell in his face. He is also get more muscular. I am so proud of him! He is really motivating me. Work is going really good for him. I am so glad that he finally found a company that he is happy with and enjoys the people he works with. He actually talks about some of his work friends. He has been working hard to help me finish school. I cant wait until he is able to not work so much overtime. That will happen once I finish school and get a job teaching. He is the only reason I am able to get closer and closer to that goal. He has been helping me study for my spanish tests. I cant stand that class, but it is easier with him helping me. I dont feel like I am missing out so much by having to study.
Cameron Paige is getting so big! She really is coming into her own and has such a great personality. She has learned that in this family you have to be able to laugh at yourself because that is what everyone else will be doing. She is very quick witted and makes me laugh a lot. Its good though that she doesnt take herself or any of us for that matter too seriously. She is definately my little side kick though. It drives her daddy crazy because she is always on my side. It makes me laugh. She is getting out of her shyness(we always knew she really wasnt shy but just told she was by you know who). She is very involved in church and makes friends very easily. She isnt scared of much either. We went to Six Flags last thursday and there isnt a ride that she wont ride. She loves the big roller coasters. Jay and her must have ridden the Flash Back 5 times. My stomach could only handle it twice. We had a lot of fun. We also went to the Mrs. Baird's bakery for a tour. It was neat to see how the bread was made and it tasted very yummy. School starts again soon and Cameron will be in the 4th grade. It is her last year in elementary school and then she will be in intermediate. I cant believe it! It seems like she was just in 1st grade playing a sheep in the school play. Time is flying by. To be honest I am not dreading the teenage years at all. Cameron and I are really close and I think that we will get even closer as time goes by. I hope she continues to talk to me about her life.

Oh Katherine Elise! She is everywhere right now. Yesterday she was sitting in the recliner watching Sesame Street while I was cooking dinner. I was around the corner for 1 minute and I heard her yelling out. I came back in the living room and she was hanging upside down off the side of the recliner. She was stuck and hanging on for dear life. I was laughing so hard that I couldnt even help her and she eventually flipped all the way over. Silly girl! She has some new words, good girl, lets go, mine, kitty, and no. She is learning them so quickly! She really likes to tell me no. Especially when I am trying to get her to eat. She really is a good eater. She doesnt want anything to do with baby food, so she just eats what we are having. So far no allergies to anything and the spices dont even bother her. She is a climber! She isnt afraid of anything and this does worry me a bit. She gets herself into some trouble. She is the light of my life and more than I could ever imagine.

I am doing good too. I have been trying to lose weight for several months now. So far I have lost 22 pounds. I am still about 20 away from my goal. But I already feel so much better about myself. When I was so heavy I felt tired all the time. Now I feel much better and it is easier to play with Katherine.
